Why we exist
The Hotels with Heart Foundation (charity number 1211371) was founded in 2023 by Abigail Tan, CEO of St Giles Hotels, as a heartfelt response to the needs of our local communities. More than just a charity, it’s a reflection of our deep belief that meaningful change begins with compassion, connection, and consistent care. Hotels with Heart isn’t about ticking boxes — it’s about showing up for people, standing beside them, and investing in their future.
Our one community campaign goals
Integrity
Expand our own hospitality obligations by sheltering those affected by homelessness and donating £100,000 to 10 homeless charities.
Independence
Support 100 people affected by homelessness, poverty, incarceration, trauma, forced displacement, or mental health, helping them to get back into good, fair and meaningful work.
Service
Give away 1,000 days of Employer-Supported Volunteering, and a further 1,000 nights of hotel stays to unpaid carers.
Inspiration
Community
Support 10,000 young people through donations to breakfast clubs, youth groups, uniforms, classroom materials and mentoring.
Give away £100,000 to social enterprises, environmental groups and charitable initiatives that support our local communities.
